Maravilja is the solo project of Finnish vocalist and composer Vilja Larjosto.
Vilja Larjosto has been making music and is known as a singer performing elegant vocals in electronic and world music for 20 years.
Maravilja is new, a kid excited about mud, birds, rivers, drums, and the universe.
Maravilja’s playful music combines electronic and organic rhythm, simple melodies and enchanting vocals.
Her music is inspired by Afro Brazilian music, spiritual jazz and Nordic electronic music. It’s worldtronic!
She plays synthesizers, a drum machine, and percussion such as the musical arc called berimbau. Vilja’s singing in Portuguese and English is catchy and sincere.
Maravilja’s solo album Love Flux will come out in 2024.
Vilja’s main musical collaborations are Lusine (Ghostly Intl) and Feater (Running Back). She also works with Martin Riedler (Blacklight Chameleon) since 2007, and with griot Issiaka Dembele (BFA).
